Steve Haddad and Jeff Motsco started making music together more than a decade ago (ok, maybe two decades ago). In the early 1990s they played a couple of open mics to very impressed audiences. From there, they took "cats on fire" public at The American Cafe in Columbia Maryland in January 1995. After playing nearly a hundred shows at popular bars in Fairfax, VA, Washington DC, Annapolis, MD, Baltimore, MD (including Fells Pt. & Federal Hill), and many other cities, they called it quits just two years later. Jeff hooked up with Billy Cox and continues to play under the cats on fire name today. So, when Steve & Jeff decided to play again, captain jack was born.... captain jack is Steve (lead vocals/guitar), Jeff (lead guitar/vocals), Devo (percussion), & Spencer (bass/vocals). Every now and again we mix up the stage and let Devo play bass, Spencer play drums and Jeff sing lead.
